He was a police officer who volunteered for Task Force Illinois, sent to New Orleans for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. He holds a master’s degree in history from Illinois State University. He taught public high school and was an adjunct professor for Nashville State Community College.Reid has been a full-time teacher of firearms and tactics since 2013. In 2015 he founded Valor Ridge with the purpose of graduating proficient, dedicated, and disciplined students. Students who value this country and its foundational principles of liberty, limited government, and natural rights tend to train there.
